Coenzyme Q10
Updated: November 2, 2026
Coenzyme Q10 takes part in how cells make energy; levels fall with age and on statins.
- Dose: 100–200 mg a day with a meal containing fat (it's fat-soluble).
- The evidence is moderate: it sometimes helps statin-related muscle aches and people over 40; young healthy athletes see little benefit.
- On warfarin or blood-pressure medicine, tell your doctor.
