Protein bars

Updated: October 25, 2026

A protein bar is a handy snack (15–25 g protein), especially on the go or after training.

When choosing:

  • At least 15 g protein and under 5 g sugar is good.
  • Count calories — some have 250–300 kcal, which matters when cutting.
  • Lots of polyols (maltitol, sorbitol) can cause bloating.

A bar doesn't replace a meal, but it's a great swap for sweets.
